A New Era of History Begins

Post pandemic 2021 heralds a new era in the world, and in Church history. What does that mean? Our world has changed forever; we can’t go back to how it was in our religious lives, contemporary or otherwise. It is time to navigate the future; completely trusting the leading of God’s Spirit in the current paradigm of life, and discovering His end-time plans for His Church. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the upheaval in the world and the Church has brought unprecedented pressures on so many levels that has been difficult for every human on earth. But in the midst of it all, God is preparing us for a future we can handle and navigate despite the intensity of great challenges and change.

‘…And I will shake all nations…’ Haggai 2:7. ‘…yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven’ Hebrews 12:26. Since early 2020 this has been happening far broader in every level of life. God has purpose and intention with all He does, therefore what has the Lord been doing in the shaking of these days? 

In the lockdowns, slowdowns and shutdowns, we have had an opportune time to take stock and realise what is truly important in the midst of all the distractions in the world and in the cultures of religion and Church. God has been saying, it is time to individually draw near to Him and discover living daily in the true intimacy of relationship with the Lord, that many of us can fail to have, even by just ‘going to church’ for years. 

It has been a time to attend to and be responsible for our discipline, and truly become a disciple of Christ, led of the Spirit and not just a follower of men and the sometimes excessive demands of church cultures. It is an important time to prepare to be ready and rise up in this new era of history, that you can only navigate by closely following the Lord. 

Don’t waste your time in this pandemic, by being side-swiped with all the bad negative news and the incredible fears in the world. This era is a golden opportunity for you to stand well in your faith with the Lord, and finally deal with things in life that He shows you, and consecrate yourself to Christ like never before; the impending theme is to get ready!

We can’t do church habitually or complacently, as many have done before; just turning up on Sunday and going through the motions - those days are over. God has an incredible plan in the shaking up of the world and the Church, that is ultimately good for those who believe in Him. 

We can’t just rely on ourselves, or men, the formulas, and religious programs. We have to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit because the future will have intense increased darkness, great pressures and immense challenges. We need to be very strong in Christ, and bold and radical in our life of faith, as the light of Jesus will rise in us, ‘arise shine; for your light has come… and His glory will be seen upon you…’ Isaiah 60:1-2. We will be able to navigate through it all and help thousands of people.

There’s a new sound emerging out of the Church in these days, music from heaven articulated on earth, by those who listen; prophets of sound. It is warring, prophetic, changing atmospheres in cities and nations, and will carry strategies for the last days before Jesus returns. It is time for a great paradigm shift in the Church in this a new era of history, and if we don’t change, prepare and get ready, we can be left behind in our limp religious dust. Be confident in the Lord, position yourself, be patient and be a Spirit led believer. ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God’ Romans 8:14.

So what is in the future, in the midst of all the political, economical, and biological pandemic madness? There is no doubt, a great spiritual awakening is coming to the earth; revival and reformation with cities and nations turning to the Lord Jesus - He who has all the answers to the deep dilemmas of mankind.

Vision of Three Waves: 

Earlier this year I was praying in tongues, pacing in my lounge room and for a brief moment I saw into the spirit. I was hovering above the earth and I saw three giant waves hundreds of miles high, like a set of waves coming into a beach, with the top of the waves feathering from the wind but not breaking. However, they were moving in unison together, equally spaced apart, moving around and around the earth. I believe it represented the great awakenings that have happened in recent history and the number 3 represented a third great awakening in these end times, and this year 2021 was the beginning of this new era, and mighty new waves of His Spirit will course across the earth.

As people of God being led of the Spirit, we must understand that, … ‘we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.’ Romans 8:28. 

The good ahead of us is the incredible intentional plans of God, that will emerge from all the shaking we are experiencing, and be revealed. Lift up your eyes and see! Don’t give up hope! I will finish with a prophetic statement on the pandemic, I wrote at the end of my book Prophet Musician (re-released mid 2020, see link below). 

‘Wake up Church! Redefine, reboot, stay close to Jesus; be fit and battle ready. The pandemic will have an ending, for God is doing a mighty work of  reviving and reformation by the Holy Spirit. Miracles, signs and wonders will fill the earth, and the power of the sounds of the Church will be heard. ‘All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord. And all the families of the nations shall worship before You’ Psalm 22:27. Selah.
